Charges for Other Commercial Vessels
as from 1st April, 2007

1. Vessels entering harbour limits but not docking.
(a) Vessels, whether with cargoes or passengers or in ballast entering the Harbour Limits for the following purposes, but not using any pier, and not breaking bulk or goods or embarking or disembarking passengers, shall be dealt with as follows:- per GT
    For safety by stress of weather FREE
    For orders, repairs, convenience, crew changes or stores £0.12
(b) Cruise Liners and training vessels anchoring within the Harbour Limits and disembarking and re-embarking passengers at the harbour works £0.13
(c) Vessels engaged in the provisions of services and supply of materials for offshore or other similar operations £0.14
(d) All Oil Tankers or vessels carrying oil products as cargo £0.31
 
2. Vessels docking at a Trust pier
per GT
(a) For safety by stress of weather FREE
(b) All vessels to or from any port within the EC £0.29
(c) All vessels to or from all other Ports and places not within the EC £0.38
(d) All vessels operating a regular weekly service between Scrabster and the Orkney Islands £0.26
(e) All vessels operating a regular weekly service between Scrabster and other Island groups £0.26
(f) All vessels operating a daily RoRo service between Scrabster and Orkney - per 4 day period £0.25
(g) Ferries over 30,000 GT Charge According to Circumstances
(h) All Cruise Liners and training vessels £0.27
(i) Vessels engaged in the provision of services and supply of materials for offshore or other similar operations £0.40
(j) All Oil Tankers or vessels carrying oil products as cargo £0.38
 
3. Period Dues
(a) The rates in Sections 1 and 2 (except2(f) and 2(g)) are per a 3 day period or part thereof.
(b) All vessels in Sections 1 and 2 remaining in port or harbour longer than 3 days will be charged additional rates as follows:-

For each day or part thereof, one third of the initial charge.
 
4. Compounded Charges (Merchant Shipping)
(a) By agreement with the Trust and on prior written application to the Harbour Master, commercial vessels engaged in a regular trade between the Scottish Mainland and Island Communities may be allowed an annual compounded rate based on the number of visits per week / year.
(b) The compounded charge herein referred to shall cease to be applicable to any vessel continuously occupying a berth at a Trust Pier for a period in excess of 5 days. Such vessels will then be liable for the appropriate charge as at paragraphs 2 (b), 2(c), 2(d) and 2(e) respectively.
 
5. Compounded charges for other local commercial vessels (annual registration charge)
By agreement with the trust and on prior written application to the Harbour Master, other (local) commercial vessels engaged in trading to or from Trust Piers may be allowed compounded arrangements, based on overall length, as per the table hereunder:- per annum
    (a) up to and including 12m £162.26
    (b) Exceeding 12m up to and including 15m £238.06
    (c) Exceeding 15m £351.70
 
The compounded charges herein referred to shall cease to be applicable to any vessel continuously occupying any Trust Pier for a period in excess of 28 days. Such vessels will then be liable for the charges as at paragraph 2 (b)
 
6. Angling / Charter Boat
per commercial trip £8.28
 
7. Commercial Vessels with a GT lower than 50 tonnes
per GT £1.65
For safety due to stress of weather FREE
 
Notes:-
1. The charges as at paragraphs 1(a) and 2(a) will be applicable to vessels delayed from sailing due to weather.
2. No vessel is to be stored on lands owned by the Trust or leased from a third party by the Trust without prior permission of the Harbour Master, whose decision as to the storage area to be used shall be final.
3. Any vessel which is stored on land owned by the Trust or leased from a third party by the Trust, is stored entirely at the owners own risk and the Trust shall not be held responsible for any damage either done by the vessel or done to the vessel.
4. VAT applies to all vessels under 15 GT.
