SCRABSTER HARBOUR TRUST

NOTICE TO MARINERS

NO.  02/2012

SCRABSTER HARBOUR – OLD FISH MARKET PIER AND TANKER BERTH DEVELOPMENT

DIVING WORKS

Mariners are advised that diving works in connection with the above development shall commence on or about 17 April 2012.   All diving works shall be undertaken adjacent to the newly constructed piled quays and the divers shall operate from the shore using a mobile crane and man-basket.   A small standby / safety boat shall also be in the vicinity whilst divers are operating.

The diving operations shall be undertaken between 0800hrs and 2000 hrs, Monday to Saturday inclusive and shall last for a period of approximately 1 month.

The diving operations shall be clearly marked, at all times, by an ‘A’ flag or board and the dive team shall maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 12.

All mariners are requested to proceed with caution and to contact “Scrabster Harbour” on VHF Marine Channel 12 for berthing and transit instructions.  There will be periods of time when the divers are working above water level and vessels should treat these operations with the same caution as when the divers are below water.
